Services

The Quan Zhen Cultural Society (Singapore) provides the following services for the public. Funds received from the following services shall be used for the objectives of the Society.

Rule 5 of our Constitution states that:

The income and property of the Society whensoever derived shall be applied towards the promotion of the objects of the Society as set forth in this Constitution and no portion thereof shall be paid or transferred directly or indirectly by way of dividend or bonus or otherwise howsoever by way of profit to the persons who at any time are or have been members of the Society or to any of them or to any person claiming through any of them.

The Taoist priests in our Society are experienced in presiding over Taoist rituals and services, and had participated in many Taoist Religious Services, or Jiao, in Singapore and abroad.

Scripture Chanting Class

  • The Society organises the Scripture Chanting Class to teach the scriptures and rituals of the Quan Zhen Longmen Tradition.
  • There is NO fee or charge for participation in the Scripture Chanting Class, however, students are expected to pay for the printing of scriptures or notes, and for other personal items, such as the tailoring of the Taoist robe, etc.

Annual Blessing for Families (金榜题名)

  • Names of the head of household (usually the father) will be inscribed on a board at our Society and a lamp will be lighted all year round.
  • Priests of our Scripture Chanting Group will conduct the blessing ritual of Lidou (清微礼斗科) monthly for the families.
  • Companies or Business may also participate in this service, and we shall pray for the well being of all the staff working at the company/business.
  • The fees are S$120 per year (starting from the first lunar month).
  • Interested parties should join the Society as an Affiliate Member.

Blessing Rituals at Workplace or Residence

  • The Society’s Ritual Team (selectively) accepts invitations to conduct rituals and prayers at workplaces or residences.
  • All rituals must be approved by the Chairman and Tutor-of-Rites of the Society.
  • Kindly e-mail to us at info@quanzhen.sg if you would like to arrange for such prayers.
  • Cheques must be made payable to “Quan Zhen Cultural Society (Singapore). Official Receipts will be issued by the Society.

Rituals at Temple Celebrations

  • The Society (selectively) accepts invitation to conduct rituals and religious services at temples or other Taoist societies.
  • All rituals must be approved by the Chairman and Tutor-of-Rites of the Society.
  • Kindly e-mail to us at info@quanzhen.sg if you would like to arrange for such prayers.
  • Please DO NOT contact us if there is a priest or another Taoist altar (道坛) currently engaged to conduct rituals at the temple. We only accept invitation if we are able to collaborate with the other Taoist altar, or if there is NO priest engaged prior to inviting our Society.
  • Cheques must be made payable to “Quan Zhen Cultural Society (Singapore). Official Receipts will be issued by the Society.
